Grace Funnell Bio

Grace Funnell is an international development leader with more than 15 years of experience in global public health and nutrition. In March 2026, she joined Uncharted Philanthropy as the Philanthropy Director for Institutional Partnerships, where she is responsible for leading and managing client grant and proposal portfolios.

Prior to her current role, Grace served as a Nutrition Specialist at UNICEF Headquarters in New York. During her tenure, she drove the agency’s strategic goals for the prevention, early detection, and treatment of child wasting. In addition to leading UNICEF’s research portfolio for child malnutrition, her work included the development of global technical guidelines and national policies in close collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).

Before joining UNICEF in 2020, Grace held key leadership roles at Action Against Hunger USA, serving as both Acting Technical Director and Associate Director of Health and Nutrition. In these capacities, she oversaw the organization’s technical strategy, led a team of subject matter experts, and managed a diverse portfolio of research and pilot studies focused on child malnutrition.

Throughout her career, Grace has designed, researched, and implemented a variety of nutrition, health, and food security programs across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. She possesses deep expertise in securing high-volume funding from major donors, including USAID, and has extensive experience managing complex donor relationships throughout the entire program cycle.
